lots of great food going on in our house

SO much good cooking, I'm really going to have to go back on a serious diet shortly. Last night we had these luscious grilled lamb chops, with fresh broccoli sauteed with garlic and toasted almonds:

Click it, this tiny picture doesn't do it justice:
And that time of year: Clementines!
A little holiday baking - lazy girl's rugelach
chocolate crinkles, deep and dark
brown sugar shortbread. makes you want to slap your mama.

Lamb chops and sugar snap peas

How many different things do you eat? It's a challenge for my dinner chef to come up with different kinds of meals to satisfy the blog. Me, I'm easy to satisfy -- he's such a great cook. So tonight he did something a little different for us: pan-seared lamb chops, and fresh sugar snap peas.

First, the close-up view of the really luscious lamb chops:
See how beautiful they are?

And the sugar snap peas, blanched and then quick-sauteed in butter.
A generous sprinkling of salt and pepper and they were sweet and crunchy
and buttery and salty, so mouth-watering.

Indian lamb patties

Fresh ground lamb, garam masala, curry, cinnamon, allspice, hot sauce, cayenne, minced onion, garlic, with cilantro on top. Cooked in a smoking hot pan -- crusty bits on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. Unimaginably delicious, with iced tea and a crisp green salad, as always.
