Indian lamb patties

Fresh ground lamb, garam masala, curry, cinnamon, allspice, hot sauce, cayenne, minced onion, garlic, with cilantro on top. Cooked in a smoking hot pan -- crusty bits on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. Unimaginably delicious, with iced tea and a crisp green salad, as always.

Tonight, dinner with A and her friend E -- a particularly luscious meal, crisply fried shrimp covered in an incredible curry, topped with chopped cilantro. You can't imagine how good this was:

black sticky rice pudding

Last night we ate dinner at Awash, a great Ethiopian restaurant in our neighborhood. I meant to take my camera but forgot, in my hunger and eagerness. When we got home, M made us some black sticky rice pudding. What you can't see are the banana chunks mixed in the pudding.
